2010 TRANSFERS OPEN

February 1 marks the opening of the transfer period for season 2010. Transfers can now be lodged from today up until June 30.

Whilst there have been a number of rumours and innuendo about what players are going where for 2010, now some of those player movements will be made official when transfers are lodge.

Once a transfer is lodged, clubs have 6 business days to reply to a transfer, with the transfer only able to be declined for the following three reasons: 1. Player under contract, 2. Player possesses club property, 3. Player owes club money (unfinancial). Clubs will be notified of transfers via their club email account, but should regularly check their member database for all transfer information.

Some of the early notable transfers lodgements have been:

* Brett Moyle moving from Balwyn to North Ringwood (where he will coach and possibly play in 2010)

* Donvale leading goal kicker in 2009 Steve Doyle looking to join Moyle at North Ringwood

* Anthony Marguccio looking to return to Doncaster East from Redlands

* Ryan Kueffer, Mark Attard (Norwood), Ben Strong (Nunawading)and Grant Braden (Lilydale) looking to head to Yarra Glen in the YVMDFL

* Peter Monk is looking to return to newly promoted Chirnside Park from Healesville
