Here we go again,Eddie pushing for a night grand final perhaps to help out his mates in the TV industry or perhaps he thinks Meat Loaf can sing better at night then day.I think it will happen one day but leave it in the day time please AFL.

I know I'm in the minority (again) but I agree with him 100%

I know we've all grown up on day GF's but as Ed says, just about all the big games are played at night. A far better atmosphere is created at night for some reason. Would provide a great build up during the day as well. I'm all for it, but can't see it happening for at least 10 years.

I am sure Steve will support you if you think you are in the minority Peter. I think you are right though that it will happen similar to AFL football being played on Good Friday.

Don't see any reason why it shouldn't happen personally. The spectacle would be increased considerably.

I disagree. Have been to hundreds of AFL games both day and night and never thought the night automatically creates a better atmosphere. It's all to do with what's happening on the ground and those in the stands. There's about 20 genuine supporters at the GF anyway so the atmosphere won't be brilliant no matter when it's played.

Personally prefer the traditional afternoon fixture with the premiers celebrating on the ground as the sun goes down. Something special.

If the entertainment is crap then it's obvious - get rid of the shit. Noone gives a shit about it and lazy morons thinking "oh yeah some fireworks, they'll love that!" won't change it. Stop trying to be the Superbowl and selling American shit to non Americans. The poms don't do this shit because they're comfortable with their culture and not cringing tryhards.

We already have the greatest game on earth why tamper further, drop meatloaf and all international gigs, play Auskick, 100m sprint and longest kick at half time..
stuff the pregame, bring back the Under 18 GF in the morning...

There is no finer day than wakeing up, loading the beer on ice watching Nth Melb breakfast on TV, friends arrive, first beverage around 11.00am, feed kids prior to game, serve party pies at half time and a celebratory drink at the conclusion, lite the BBQ and feed the masses, in bed at 10pm after a huge day..

What the hell would I do if they postponed the game by 5-6 hours??
I'd be in bed at 10.00pm and miss the final siren!! Pissed..

What a pathetic argument. Move the Grand Final because the pre game entertainement is crap. I thought the entire audience was watching because of the game. Apparently not if you listen to Eddie.
